BOILERS AND PRESSURE VESSELS

The purpose of this program is to protect the people of the State of Vermont from the risk of injury or death from unsafe boiler and pressure vessel installations, by the adoption and enforcement of nationally recognized safety codes and by the licensure, education and training, of people doing boiler and pressure vessel installation work.

The rules referenced below are adopted by the Commissioner of Public Safety to license people doing boiler and pressure vessel work and to adopt and enforce nationally recognized safety codes.


VERMONT BOILER AND PRESSURE VESSEL SAFETY RULES

The rules for boiler and pressure vessel installation and inspection are now included in Section 3 of the Vermont Fire & Building Safety Code - 2006.
