RACES & VERMONT YANKEE

During 2007 VEM-RACES provided emergency communications during several Vermont Yankee Nuclear power plant drills. Over 25 team members were stationed in several of the emergency planning zone towns in Windham County and at the VEM Emergency Operations Center. VEM-RACES will conduct additional drills and training conferences during the coming months specifically designed to provide operating opportunities for all RACES members throughout the State.
