Course Description: The FRTP is a three-day training program that covers the topics most applicable to first responders who include: law enforcement, firefighters and emergency medical services personnel. These emergency response professionals must be trained and equipped for virtually any situation, including criminal acts, natural disasters and other large-scale emergencies. A system of command will be needed to achieve a coordinated and effective incident response. Further, the psychological impact upon first responders needs to be considered following any critical incident. The FRTP will provide training, guidelines, and resources to address these, as well as other important issues.
