The Bureau of Criminal Investigation makes every effort to successfully close each case they investigate. Historically the State Police have solved the vast majority of the incidents they have investigated. However, a number of cases have remained open despite the continued efforts of investigators.

Over the past several years, the Internet has emerged as a resource for police agencies to reach a wide base of people.  We have included profiles of active cases here in an effort to reach as many people as possible, and to fully use all the investigative resources available.

We will categorize many of our major cases into the following areas:

• Missing Persons
• Homicides
• Wanted Sex Offenders

Frequently there is a single piece of information that provides detectives the key to an entire case.
