MEMBER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
(Formerly Peer Support Team)

The Member Assistance Program Mission

The Department of Public Safety is dedicated to providing employees and their families with assistance in dealing with personal and professional stress, including peer support, education, and other Critical Incident Stress Management. It is the mission of the Vermont State Police Member Assistance Program to assist peers and families with stress encountered in their personal and/or professional lives. The Member Assistance Program recognizes that other emergency services may require our assistance. Upon request we will strive to provide Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) to those agencies.

*Since its inception in 1997 the VSP Member Assistance Program has assisted thousands of law enforcement personnel, their families and emergency responders in Vermont and throughout the northeast.
