Do you need a Commercial Assembly Permit?
Commercial Assembly Permits are required by any organization hosting
an event in Vermont that meets the following criteria:
- The event will have 2,000 or more people attending.
- Admission will be charged, and you cannot attend the event unless
you pay admission.
- The event is not a cycling or road running event.
If your event meets these criteria, you must submit a Commercial Assembly
Permit no less than 30 days prior to the event. You can download this
application from this webpage. Once completed, please return the application
to:

Application 
Do you need an exception to the Two Abreast
Rule?
In the State of Vermont, bicycles are not allowed to ride more than
two abreasts while traveling on a public roadway. You may ask for an
exception to this rule when a sporting event you are hosting is expected
to exceed this rule.
You should download and complete the application below if you are hosting
a large bicycle tour group, or cycling road race. Once completed, please

Download the Two Abreast Rule Exception
Application 
Triathlon Permit
Whenever an organization holds a triathlon in Vermont they should file
a race application with the Department of Public Safety. Although similar
to the two previous permits, a race application must be received no
later than 15 days prior to the event. The Department of Public Safety
will be approaching these permits with the safety of participants and
spectators in mind.
