Traffic:
Festival traffic is expected to begin arriving very early Thursday morning
and will continue steadily through Saturday afternoon (Phish are performing
in Massachusetts on Wednesday night, August 11 – we anticipate that
many fans will leave for Vermont directly from that show.)
- The roads should be relatively
clear Saturday night and throughout Sunday.
- The greater proportion
of festival traffic will exit I-91 at exit 26 and to continue north
on Route 5 to the north entrance of Airport Road. Access onto
Airport Road from the north off of Route 5 will not be permitted. This
measure is being taken to limit traffic congestion in the Newport vicinity.
