INCIDENT:  Bank Robbery                         

STATION: Royalton Barracks                           

DATE OF INCIDENT: October 15, 2009 @ approximately 0936 hours      

LOCATION: Randolph National Bank, 85 North Main Street in Rochester, VT                        
ACCUSED:

Daryl Williams, age 49
Springfield, MA

Andrew Dion, age 41
Springfield, MA

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

As a result of a collaborative effort with the Connecticut State Police and the Springfield Massachusetts Police Department, Daryl Williams, age 49 and Andrew Dion, age 41, both of Springfield, MA were apprehended in Springfield, MA after they were identified as the suspects involved in the robbery of the Randolph National Bank in Rochester that occurred yesterday morning (October 15th). Williams is the suspect who entered the bank.  Both are also linked to a bank robbery that occurred in Connecticut on Saturday, October 10th.

Williams was arrested last night.  Dion was arrested earlier today.  Both were taken into custody without incident.  They are being held by the Springfield, MA Police Department as the Connecticut State Police and the Vermont State Police begin the legal process for extradition paperwork to charge the men in both the Connecticut and the Vermont bank robberies.  
 
The black Honda Civic with Massachusetts registration that the suspects were seen fleeing the scene in yesterday morning, was recovered in Rutland, VT.  
 
The investigation is rapidly evolving and additional press releases will be issued as more details become available.  Until that time, no more information will be provided.
