SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 10/18/09, at approximately 1419 hours, Vermont State Police responded to a burglary that had occurred while the home owner, Joanne Morse, was away at church. Morse stated she had left her residence in Westminster, VT at 0900 hours and returned home at 1400 hours to find that someone gained access to her residence through the kitchen window that was located within her screened in porch.
Investigation revealed that the subject/s had gone through the entire residence looking for items of value. Among the items taken were a camera, RCA DVD/VCR combo, a Dell computer tower and several blue sapphire rings that were of great value.
A neighbor was interviewed and recalled two male subjects walking south bound on Back Westminster Road at approximately 1348 hours. The witness advised the two male subjects were both carrying black plastic garbage bags. The description of the two male subjects are as follows: One tall male subject had a ball cap on, sandy colored hair and was wearing a dark grey sweatshirt with two burgundy stripes across the chest and arms of the sweatshirt and dark colored pants. The second male subject was smaller in size wearing a ball cap, darker colored hair and dark clothing.
