The off-duty trooper recognized the juvenile from a car stop he had initiated earlier that day. During that stop the juvenile was issued traffic tickets and had his vehicle was grounded. Uniformed State Police were notified by the off-duty trooper and responded to the area. State Police attempted to stop the juvenile at the intersection of U.S. Route 302 and Wallace Hill Road in Newbury.
