INCIDENT: Armed Bank Robbery

DATE/TIME OF INCIDENT:  October 27, 2009 @ approximately 1039 hours   

LOCATION:    Chittenden Bank located at 15 Canada Street in Swanton Village

ACCUSED:  Unknown at this time
 
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

At approximately 1039 hours, the Swanton Police Department and the Vermont State Police received a report of an armed robbery that occurred at the Chittenden Bank on Canada Street in Swanton Village.  A lone male entered the bank, brandished a knife and demanded cash.  The male left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.  

The male is described as follows:

White male
Age – 20’s
Height approximately 5’8
Slender build
Brown hooded sweatshirt with a unique skull design on the front
White baseball cap under the hoodie
Red scarf covering part of his face
Brown pants
Carried a Hannaford’s grocery bag

There were no reported injuries and there were no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery.
