LOCATION (specific): Vermont Route 15, Johnson.

VIOLATION: DUI #2, Underage Consumption, Violation of Conditions of Release.

ACCUSED:

1.) Peter Burt AGE 20
2.) Kelly Miller AGE 20
3.) Matthew Young AGE 21
4.) Sonya Wood AGE 19
5.) Katherine Earley  AGE 18

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Johnson and Morrisville, VT.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  

At approximately 0042 hours Troopers stopped a vehicle operated by Peter Burt, 20, for speed on Vermont Route 15 in Johnson. Burt, who had been arrested for DUI by Morrisville Police Department just over 24 hours prior, was again arrested for DUI. Burt was also charged with possession of a narcotic and underage consumption. Burt was also issued traffic tickets for speeding and seatbelt violations. He was later lodged as an incapacitated person at the correctional center in St. Johnsbury with a citation to appear in Lamoille County Court on 11/24/2009.

Also in the vehicle, and under the influence of alcohol, was Kelly Miller, 20, who had also been arrested the previous night by Morrisville Police Department for a violation of conditions of release and underage consumption. Miller was again cited for both violations and later released.

Matthew Young, 21, who has a 24 hour curfew and various other conditions of release from a prior DUI was found to have been consuming alcohol. He was cited and released.

Sonya Wood, 19, was found to be under the influence and cited for underage consumption. Katherine Earley, 18, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and issued Diversion paperwork as this was her first offense.

The remaining subjects were cited to appear in Lamoille County Court on 12/15/2009.
