TACTICAL SERVICES
UNIT
|
The
Vermont State Police Tactical Services Unit (TSU) is the largest
and most active team of its kind in the state. The TSU is comprised
of highly trained Troopers that are skilled in the areas of
Hostage Rescue, High Risk Warrant Service, Fugitive Recovery,
Barricade/ Suicidal Subjects and Dignitary Protection. TSU members
receive their training from subject matter experts from across
the country in areas that include, but are not limited to:

Chemical/Less Lethal Munitions

Tactical
Breeching

Basic,
Advanced and Sniper Instructor Training Basic and Advanced

Firearms
Instructor Training

Live Fire Shoot House Training

High Risk Warrant/Hostage Rescue Training

Active Shooter Instructor Training

Weapons of Mass Destruction
The
TSU is also actively involved with in-service patrol procedures
training for Vermont State Police members and continually conducts
tactical training for other federal, state and local law enforcement
agencies.
